In this blog, we take a close look at Rodger wireless bedwetting alarm system.
The product has two links http://bedwettingstore.com/rodger-wireless-bedwetting-alarm.html
We were amused reading the content of both these pages and will point these out to the reader.
The Rodger bedwetting alarm site states “The wireless bedwetting alarm system is a simple and pro-children aid to solve the bedwetting problem.” Now if you visit the Bedwetting Store link there is a Youtube video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MCSVKDwWGp8 In our opinion, that is neither Pro-Child nor is it simple. Why cant the Bedwetting Store and Rodger bedwetting alarm be honest about their product. They should state “Needs an experienced hand to operate” or “Needs special skills and tools”
What amused us the most was “Your child wears the usual underpants with invisible processed wires.” We met many engineers and experts in the telecom industry and asked them what “invisible processed wires” meant. We got chuckles and stares and they admitted they never heard of this. Kudos Rodgers and the Bedwetting Store for coming up with new terms to sell your product. This has taken deceit to a new high (or low should we say).
“You attach a tiny transmitter to the underpants.” How tiny is it? Where on the underpants should it be attached? These are obvious questions which are deliberately being avoided. In our mind this is deceit.
“the user can select either 1 preferred tone or can leave the alarm to randomly use one of the available 8 tones.” Do you have a random logic generator? This is intentional deceit by Rodgers bedwetting alarm and the Bedwetting Store.
“Equally, we all react differently to certain sounds” We don’t even feel the need to comment on this statement. It is one of those mysteries of life that will remain unanswered.
“The new alarm transmitter now has a 'low battery' warning light built in, as batteries and their remaining power are always a bit of a mystery, and can fail at the most inopportune moments.” What? When? Who? How? Intentional confusion, misrepresentation and statement of basic facts.
The Care Instructions from the Bedwetting Store site for this Rodger alarm states “Remove transmitter from briefs. Machine wash briefs in warm water. Do not use fabric softener. Tumble dry on low heat or air dry. DO NOT WRING. DO NOT WASH TRANSMITTER. Wipe transmitter clean with damp cloth and air dry.
Because starch is used on the briefs during the manufacturing process, it is recommended that the briefs be laundered or soaked with water and detergent prior to the first use. This removes the starch from the cloth, increasing the rate of absorption, and insures the alarm's quick response to moisture.”
We are now left speechless.
For the average consumer, this is more deceit than they are used to in a lifetime.
